Managing Shareholder Manuel A. Garcia-Linares has been installed as President of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA), a nonprofit, nonpartisan, voluntary bar association established in Miami in 1974. For over 30 years, its mission has been to serve the community and to improve the legal profession through greater diversity and equality of opportunity throughout Florida (www.cabaonline.com).

Garcia-Linares practices primarily in the areas of commercial and class action litigation as well as corporate and transactional matters. An active community leader, Garcia-Linares serves as a Trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the City of Coral Gables Parknership Committee and Retirement Board, where he previously served as Chairman during the years 2005 and 2006. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member and Past President of the Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association, Inc. (President, 2000-2001). He was formerly the Vice President of the St. Theresa School Board and a member of the Belen Jesuit Preparatory School Board Leadership Development Group. He is currently a member of the Lawyers Section Board of the Belen Alumni Association.

Recognized by his peers and the legal community, Garcia-Linares has been included in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the category of Commercial Litigation, and listed as a Top Lawyer in the 2001-2009 South Florida Legal Guide, 2007-2009 Super Lawyers and the 2007-2009 Florida Legal Elite. In 2008, he received the Most Effective Lawyer award from the Daily Business Review in the “Class Action” category, in recognition of the significant victories he achieved for clients involving class action legal matters. A resident of Coral Gables, Garcia-Linares received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami.  He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
