With offices in Miami and West Palm Beach, the firm handles a wide range of litigation and business-related legal services, including commercial and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts.  From its founding in 1961, the firm has been proud of its success in trying cases involving commercial and contract disputes, securities fraud, real estate, family law, will contests, class actions and other aspects of commercial law.  Our lawyers are also experienced in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings, such as arbitration and mediation.

The firm serves businesses and individuals by handling commercial and real estate transactions and financing, estate planning, formation of corporations and partnerships, preparation of contracts and general representation.

The firm's tradition of public service was originated by its two founders, the late William S. Frates, and Peter T. Fay, who presently serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  This tradition was expanded in the mid 1960s by the addition of two former circuit judges, Robert L. Floyd and Ray H. Pearson.

Members of the firm have been honored to serve in positions of distinction in the legal profession, including President of the International Society of Barristers; four Presidents of The Florida Bar; two Presidents of the Dade County Bar Association; three Presidents of the Palm Beach County Bar Association; President of the Cuban American Bar Association; President of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association; President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham Jr. Bar Association; Mayor of the City of Miami; and two Circuit Court judges.  The firm’s alumni include a senior United States Court of Appeals judge, a United States District judge and several state court trial judges.
